It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen the word Harvest.
It's the first Saturday of the month, so that means we have a new Guest Designer. Welcome Claire Apostoloff! Check out JUGS to see what Claire and the rest of the Design Team have created with the word Harvest as inspiration.
I went with wheat since that has just been harvested around this area. I used die cuts from Reverse Confetti and used a fun technique to use up some of the glitter I had on hand and never seem to use. The base wheat die has double sided adhesive on it and then layered the outline over it and sprinkled glitter on top and rubbed it to adhere. Layered a couple of branchy wreathes in browns and adding some gold gel pen on the berries. Gold embossed the sentiment on a dark brown and die cut (also Reverse Confetti). Used some Core'dinations Kraft Core with a Tim Holtz brick embossing folder, sanded it and then rubbed Distress Inks in browns over the top and the darkest heavier around the edges.
Come play along with us and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer! Please limit your entries to 3.

Sue... love your card. The glitter was a wonderful addition and the brick background amazing. I am so looking forward to working with you on JUGS.
Love the distressed looking brick background -- great card
I love the rustic nature of your card, Sue, with just a touch of glitz. Great idea for glamming up the wheat and I love the distressed brick.
Awesome card, Sue! Love the tone on tone and the pop of brown! Super job! Hang on to that summer as long as you can as fall is right around the corner!
Gorgeous card Sue. Lovely colour combination with that shimmer and wreath. Stunning background.
A fab, rustic card Sue - loving that glittery wheat!
