Tuesday Trigger: Girly & Gutsy

I was inspired by the colors and the layout of the room.

A Couple of Sketch Challenges

I needed a card for my oldest grandson who is going to start 2nd grade this year and chose CPS Sketch #231 found here:  http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2011/08/cps-231-part-1.html

I used Melanie Muenchinger's set Back to School by Gina K Designs.  I've had the label maker for quite some time and hardly ever use it, but liked the look of the labels on this.

I used the set by Theresa Momber - Heartfelt by Gina K Design.  Stamped the flowers and colored with Prismacolor markers, then used a VersaMark pen over the image and heat embossed with clear ep.  Next stamped the fence and colored with Prismacolor markers.  The image panel looked too stark, so I stamped over it with Timeless Textures also by Gina K.

Card Patterns Sketch 230

More fun with Tami Mayberry's new set "Gnome One Like You" by Gina K.  I used the sketch from CPS  http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2011/08/cps-230-part-1.html

I stamped the cute little frog with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Prismacolor markers.  Used Nesties in various size circles to cut the frog and his layers.  Added dots to the light green inverted scalloped circle with a white gel pen.  Used 2 pieces of corrugated yellow cs and layered the leafy branches over the 2 yellow pieces.  It needed a little something, so I added Stickles to the leaves and branches.  The background is a Sizzix embossing folder where I used Co'ordinations cs in a medium green and after embossing, sanded the high points.

Fun Flamingo

I am loving Tami Mayberry's new set by Gina K Designs, Gnome One Like You.  I used the flamingo stamp in the Card Patterns Sketch 127 found here:  http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/2011/08/sketch-127.html

I bought the pack of cards on clearance at Michael's a long time ago and just ran across them and decided I better start using some of the stuff I already have.  The flamingo was stamped on Gina K Pure Luxury White cs and colored with Prismacolor markers then cut out, sponged with Memento Angel Pink and layered with Nesties dies.  Cut the brown border with another Nesties die, ran through my little Xyron to adhere to the pink edge.  Added the fun ruffled ribbon from my LSS, some die cut leaves and the layered Prima Flowers with the rhinestone center.

Gina K Release Party Preview

I was so excited when Tami Mayberry asked me to be a Guest Designer for her new release this month!  Thank you so much Tami!  I was home recovering from an unexpected appendectomy, so I had plenty of time to play.
