It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Vicki is challenging us to use Embossing Folders!
Check out JUGS to see what our talented Guest Designer, JoAnn Burnham the rest of the amazing Design Team have created using their embossing folders.
Trying out some partial embossing. Used a Tim Holtz ef on some light blue linen then pulled out some rub on metallic paste and lightly rubbed on some blue and purple with my finger to accentuate the embossing. The butterfly is covered with black Stickles and fussy cut the vellum for the base layer of the butterfly. There was a happy accident on the butterfly, colored the vellum with alcohol markers in blue and purple then misted with alcohol and the colors really ran wild, but I like the effect.
Come share your creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer! Please limit your entries to 3.

Sue...Noticed your happy accident right off. Thought you had made an alcohol ink background for the butterfly. I love that you got this effect on vellum. I am going to have to try that trick. The black Stickles really make the butterfly pop...and on top of the embossed background...it is a lovely card!
The card background is so pretty but let me just say that the butterfly steals the show. Carol Mc and I were playing with AI just yesterday and you have inspired me with ideas on what to do with my panles with this card. Thanks, Sue!
Your AI butterfly is beautiful perched on your embossed background. Such a pretty card.
Your soft coloring is beautiful!
The swirls and twirls of the embossing folder are like the flight of your gorgeous butterfly, flitting here and there! Stunning...and yayyy for the happy accident!

I know this is an embossing folder challenge, but WOW what a fabulous butterfly, Sue! Great card!
I love the soft coloring on the embossed image, Sue, and the butterfly is gorgeous.
Looooooove your muted background Sue and your butterfly is so bold and beautiful. Great result with your 'happy' accident. Wouldn't have known if you hadn't mentioned it. Fabulous with navy card base.
Sue,
What a cool embossing folder! And your colors are so striking! The alcohol ink "blunder" is nothing of the sort!!! The butterfly is perfect in every way! What a great card to share with our followers!
