Just Us Girls #647 - Photo Week

It's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa E. has chosen a perfect photo for our inspiration!

Since this is the last week of the month, we sadly have to say goodby to our fabulous Guest Designer, Cathy Roffey.  Thank you Cathy for playing along with us this past month with all of your awesome creations!  Now, come on over to JUGS to see how this photo inspired Cathy and the rest of the amazing Design Team!

When I think of back to school, it makes me think about the big chalkboard at the front of the classroom.  The background is stenciled with WPlus9 white ink then stamped the sentiment from Unity in the same white and then stamped again with Distress Oxide Broken China. Rubbed some white chalk around the sentiment.   Added some die cut stars and layered with red and blue onto a yellow card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #646

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa K. has chosen a beautiful color combo for us to play with.  The possibilities are endless!

Come on over to JUGS to see how this color combo has inspired our fabulous Guest Designer, Cathy Roffey and the rest of the amazing Design Team.

I knew I wanted to play with my new Lindy's Magicals, so started with some Teal on watercolor paper.  Found this piece of teal paper which looks lightly distressed, lightly stenciled some stars with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade ink and die cut the star circle, but didn't like the way it looked, so die cut another star circle from yellow and adhered over the opening.  Added some yellow Stickles to the stars. Placed the Lindy's Magicals layer behind the opening.  Stamped the baby sentiment on the star banner in teal ink and the sweet in Rich Cocoa on soft sand cardstock and punched out with an oval punch and layered behind the star banner.  Used the little star piece from the banner, covered with the same Stickles and tucked it behind the oval.  Put it all together on a soft sand mini slimline card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #645

It's time for our Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby is our fabulous hostess this week and has chosen the very popular trend of using a stencil!

Check out JUGS to see how our amazing Guest Designer, Cathy Roffey and the rest of the talented Design Team have used stencils on their creations.

Started out with a premade watercolor card panel and stenciled over it with a Simply Graphic stencil.  Die cut the leafy berry branch from green textured cardstock and sponged on some darker green ink.  Added Nuvo Drops to the berries.  Added the sentiment on a die cut tag tied with purple Baker's twine.  Framed with black onto a purple card base.  It seemed a little plain, so added the dotted frame.

Come play along with us and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.

This is also a fit for the Addicted to Stamps and More! challenge to use Die Cuts and/or Stencils.

Just Us Girls #644 - Word Week

It's the first Saturday of the month and that means it's time for our Word Week Challenge at Just Us Girls.  Vicki has chosen the word Butterflies.

Since this is the start of a new month, that means it's time for a new Guest Designer.  Please welcome Catherine Roffey!  Check out JUGS to see all of the beautiful butterflies by Catherine and the rest of the amazing Design Team.

Die cut the floral heart out of the center of a white panel.  Die cut the striped heart from some purple and backed it with a very old piece of patterned paper.  Added the die cut and colored flowers to the edge of the heart. The butterfly that was die cut from black and covered with black Stickles.  Traced the butterfly onto some purple vellum and cut it out to back the black frame.  Stamped the sentiment in purple and die cut the banner.  Used the same purple cardstock for the base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I'm also entering this at "Less is More" with the theme of Butterflies.
