Just Us Girls #475 - Color Week

It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Maria has chosen a lovely color pallet for us to work with.

Check out our JUGS Blog to see what Lisa Elton, our Guest Designer and the rest of the JUGS Girls have created using these colors.

Started with a white card base and sprayed some pink shimmer mist, concentrating it in the upper left corner.  Added the die cut red heart which was covered with Wink of Stella Clear and added the sentiment from Reverse Confetti.  Quick and easy.

Come play along with us as your could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #474 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Carol has a very trendy challenge for us this week!

Our February Guest Designer, Lisa Elton is with us again this week!  Come check out the JUGS Blog to see what Lisa along with the rest of our Design Team have created with the word Wood as inspiration.

Decided to go with a punny sentiment with my woodgrain!  Used some letter dies and Layers of Love from Concord & 9th.  The wood slice is from Gina K and it was stamped onto the heart as well.  Found the small heart with the arrows in my dies and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the heart.

Come play along with us as your could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Soccer Birthday Celebration

My grandson lives and breathes soccer and has a birthday coming up soon.  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to make his card.

A closeup of the foiled candles

I used a Gina K Foil Mates for the focal piece.  Colored the candles with Touch Twin markers then foiled the candles with gold, sentiment with Turquoise and stars with silver.  Stamped the barbed wire twice with black ink then centered the soccer balls between the two and stamped them in black as well.  Thought it looked too stark, so colored the soccer balls with red and blue Touch Twin markers.  Still wasn't happy so stenciled some stars on the background with Brilliance Yellow.  Layered onto a turquoise card base.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #473 - Word Week

It's time for our Word Week Challenge at Just Us Girls!  Ina is our hostess for this challenge and has chosen the perfect word LOVE!  Great timing to get your Valentine cards done.

I would like to welcome our February Guest Designer Lisa Elton!  Come see what   and the rest of the JUGS Design Team have created with the word Love as inspiration.

Inked the little heart background from Concord & 9th with red and pink inks and stamped onto whtie cardstock.  Stamped the stripes in pink from the same stamp set.  Using my MISTI Stamped the Love from Inkadinkado.  Had the die cut heart in my stash, stamped the little hearts from Altenew with Hero Arts Bubblegum Pink and also sponged the same ink over the die cut and adhered it to the card.  With the Love still in my Misti, restamped it going over the heart.  Layered onto a red card base.

Come play along with us at JUGS showing us your Love creations and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week!  That would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.

Golden Hearts and Glowing Candles

Working on a couple of cards for upcoming occasions.  I was inspired by the challenge at Mod Squad Challenge Foil Fun and the Birthday Challenge #150 at CAS on Friday.

Modsquad Challenge

CAS on Sunday

Using Rose Gold Foil, foiled the background from Gina K Foil Mates and the die cut heart.  Die cut a larger, solid heart and sponged on some watered down gold paint and adhered the heart.  Used the same gold paint to paint the edges of the card base and the banner sentiment.  Stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti with Versamark and heat embossed with black ep.

Playing again with foil!  Used the Rose Gold on the candles, some Turquoise Sea and silver on the sentiment and little stars, all from Gina K Foil Mates.  Stenciled the striped edge with some turquoise ink and put it all together on a hot pink card base.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls #472 - Photo Week

It's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy has chosen an awesome photo for our inspiration!

It's sad to say it's our last week with our 2 amazing Guest Designers - Janet Ribet and Cindy Major!  A huge thank you to both of you for joining us this past month and sharing your amazing talent with us!  Now come on over to the JUGS Blog to see what these 2 amazing ladies along with the rest of the talented Design Team have created with the Photo as inspiration.

When I saw the Photo, I knew I wanted to dig out this very old Stampin' Up set!  Stamped the ship with Versamark and heat embossed with white ep onto some Gina K Denim Blue cardstock.  Layered onto some gray, blue striped patterned paper, more of the Blue Denim then onto a white card base.

Now it's your turn to come join our Photo Challenge at JUGS!  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Hello Gorgeous!

I wanted to send a card to a friend who is continuing to battle cancer and was inspired by the sketch challenge at STAMPlorations

The color blocks were made by inking some acrylic blocks with turquoise and lime green inks and stamping onto the cardstock.  The butterfly was created by using the leaf stamps from Retro Mod Shapes and drawing the body and antennae with a black gel pen.   Added some clear Wink of Stella to the wings. The sentiment is from A Girl and Her Shoes.

Thanks for visiting!
