Just Us Girls #690

It's time for one of our newest challenges this year at Just Us Girls, CASE a Design Team member.  You can chose any of the Design Team's cards that we have created for this week's challenge and CASE it.

First of all I would like to say THANK YOU to Kristin Sluhan for being our Guest Designer this past month and sharing her amazing talent with us!

Check out all of the creations by our Guest Designer, Kristin Sluhan and the rest of the Design Team and chose one that inspires you and come and share it with us at JUGS.

Using a fun embossing folder technique demonstrated by the amazing Jennifer McGuire, which can be found here.  I used black cardstock and white and gold inks.  I inked the edges of the card base and panel with Delicata gold ink to pick up the gold on the background.  Sentiments from Gina K heat embossed in gold on vellum and Mudrah was heat embossed in gold on black cardstock.

Come join us and you could be chosen as our Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #689

It's CAS Week at Just Us Girls and Ina is challenged us to use 3 of something on a CAS creation.

Come on over to JUGS to see the fabulous CAS creations by our talented Guest Designer, Kristin Sluhan and the rest of the amazing Design Team.

I was in need of a quick graduation card and here you go.  Stamped the star from a Gina K set 3 times in a row (my MISTI made this easy to do) then colored with alcohol marker in yellow.  Stamped the sentiment from another set and heat embossed in blue.  It needed a little something more, so I used a clear Sakura Stardust gel pen to add some shimmer to white area on the stars and yellow Wink of Stella to make those stars shine.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #688

It's Photo/Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa E. has chosen a fabulous Moodboard full of inspiration.

Hop on over to JUGS to see how this Moodboard inspired our Guest Designer, Kristin Sluhan and the rest of our Design Team.

Using Concord & 9th's Be Mine stamp set.  Stamped the jar of jam once on white then again on a pink striped scrap and paper pieced it onto the jar.  Colored the lid with a pink marker and the jam in the jar with a Glaze Gel Pen.  Stamped the striped piece with Hero Arts Raspberry ink.  Die cut some small hearts and colored with the same Raspberry ink.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Using a watercolor background I made a while ago, added come shimmer spray and embossed a piece of it.  Placed behind the die cut oval on a white panel.  Die cut the Concord & 9th butterfly from black then traced around the die cut and fussy cut another piece of the watercolor background without the shimmer.  Heat embossed the sentiment on some vellum and die cut with a banner die.  Put it together on a white card base.

Just Us Girls #684

It's Photo/Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls and Vicki has chosen a fabulous Photo for inspiration.

Check out JUGS to see how our fabulous Guest Designer, TK and the rest of the amazing Design Team were inspired by this Photo.

That little blue striped cottage definitely jumped right out at me!  I didn't have any stamps or dies of little houses/cottages, so I had to create my own.  I die cut a blue stenciled square and one from some blue/gray and trimmed what I needed to make the cottage and roof then used a scrap of white to make the door.  First I ink blended the sand and sky and used a speckled stamp to add texture to the sand and then adhered the cottage to a white card base.  Finished it off by stamping the little seagulls in the sky.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
