It's time for Trend Week at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to be hostess. I was fascinated with this technique that I saw on Jennifer McGuire's blog - Heat Embossed Embossing Folders and it is very addictive once you try it.
Come on over to JUGS to see what our Guest Designer, Nora Noll and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created using this technique.
I needed a wedding card and it was the perfect time to try this technique. I used a leafy embossing folder, inked with Versamark and embossed on ivory cardstock with White Pearls embossing powder. Added the die cut heart from sage cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Memento Bamboo Leaves and adhered the strip across the heart. Framed it with some more sage and onto an ivory card base.
Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at at chance to become our next Guest Designer! Please limit your entries to 3.
*On a sad note, the wedding had to be canceled and going to be rescheduled at a later date due to the father of the bride contracting COVID and was put on a ventilator 2 weeks prior to the wedding. He has since passed away. Heartbreaking!

Sue... love how the White Pearls on ivory turned out! Fabulous wedding card. Your embossing is so clean... the look is great. Might have to give this technique a couple more tries.
Beautiful Wedding card, Sue! I totally enjoyed this challenge! Thanks for pushing us to try new things!
I was lamenting only having metalllic embossing powders but I do have the white pearl and it looks so elegant on your card, Sue. Thanks for making this a challenge. I love the technique and you can get so many different looks from it.
Love how beautiful this card turned out Sue. You certainly nailed the technique. Great challenge to get us out of our comfort zone.
