Just Us Girls #604 - Word Week

It's Word Week time at Just Us Girls and Carol has chosen the perfect word for us this month!

A big welcome to our October Guest Designer - Nora Noll!  Hop on over to JUGS to see all of the Halloween creations by Nora and the rest of the talented Design Team.

Started with a white panel and masked a circle using the negative die cut piece, sponged some yellow ink in the circle.  Masked off the moon and sponged Distress Inks in blues and purples over the rest of the panel.  Die cut the trees cover panel in black and adhered to the inked panel.  Stamped the house, colored with black alcohol ink marker and added Sakura Stardust yellow gel pen to the windows.  Fussy cut the house and removed the door.  Added the die cut ghosts and adhered it all to a purple card base.

And another one with masking and sponging.  Used a swirl embossing folder with Core'dinations Black Magic cardstock, sanded it and added some Moonlight purple gel pen to the dots.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Oh wow, both cards are so cute! I love the first one. Great use of that tree die cut with the ghosts around it. Love the sanding of the paper on the second one.

Spooky ghosts Sue and what a fabulous moon behind the haunted house. Love the second one with the embossing and again that moon and dark sky.

I love the way you arranged the ghosts in the trees, Sue. That is such a fun card. I haven't sanded cardstock in a while and forgot how wonderful the results can be. It looks great with your haunting scene.
